The JioPhone from Reliance Jio has been much awaited for. This phone is likely to get released in September this year. Users can buy the phone on first-come first-serve basis. Bookings will get opened on 24th August, according to earlier announcement by the company.
The beta testing process on the phone have already begun on the 4G feature phone. This JioPhone can be purchased totally for free and it comes with a refundable deposit amount of just Rs 1,500.
Analysts believe JioPhone to bring a drastic changeover in the telecom sector, and this will entice the other telecom operators to come up with similar 4G feature phones.
It is also possible to register interest towards buying Reliance JioPhone via SMS, says a customer care executive from Reliance. For this, type JP<>your area PIN code<> Jio Store Code present in your locale and send the SMS to 7021170211. You may get to know the store code by approaching the Jio store in your locality.
It is also possible to register interest on JioPhone on Jio website by clicking Keep me posted link. Upon registering, you will be informed about the further developments on JioPhone. These notifications will be sent through SMS.
