Facility to pay application fee for engineering courses only online

Anna University has decided to introduce a new facility this year in the admission for engineering courses - the facility to pay the application fee only online while applying for the engineering courses.
Until the year 2015, only printed application forms were being issued for admission process to join engineering courses.
Thigh the facility to apply online was available it was left to the students to apply in whichever way they preferred.
Only last year (2016), Anna University introduced the system of applying only online.
After filling up the application online, a printout has to be taken, attached with all requisite documents/certificate copies and to be submitted.
Until now, the application fee can be paid online through net banking, debit card, or credit card. Those who are not having the facility for this have to take a Demand Draft and attach the same with the application.
An official from Anna University informed that from this academic year, the system of paying the application fee only online is being introduced. So, the candidates applying online have to pay the application fee also online by net banking or debit/credit cards.
+2 results are scheduled to be released on 12th May. The students need not have to wait until this date - they can apply online filling up all other particulars (name, date of birth, address, etc.) from 1st May and keep it partially ready. Once the results and mark sheets are available, they can fill in these details and submit in full online.
