Anna University to resolve issues in microgrid

Anna University has been planning to resolve issues in microgrid. A microgrid is a small-scale localized power generation and distribution network, capable of operating independently or in conjunction with the main grid. Microgrids are way to provide a reliable supply of power, with the additional benefit of reducing demands upon the conventional distribution network.
Very soon Anna University will be setting up a Micro Grid Innovation and Facilitation Centre at the cost of Rs 5 crore. The lab will be given 150 kW solar energy 100 kW wind energy and another 100kW for power storage to simulate real time micro grid.
