The Indian telecom industry cannot easily forget the year 2016. It was during this year that Jio entered the telecom market and pitched in with its services all of which were made completely free. That was first of its kind and never had any telecom operator announced such free offers before.
 
The Happy New Year, as the free offer was named, has its deadline marked on 31st March this year. Jio believes April 1 to bring more prime users however.
 
Accordingly, Jio services will be priced from then. For all voice calls and other services by Jio, the users will have to pay. The one time membership is priced Rs 99 for which the deadline is 31st March. There are rumors that the deadline might get extended. However, there is no official announcement in this regard. As per reports, there are 40 million Jio Prime subscribers and this again awaits official confirmation from Jio.

Jio prime is an initiative by Jio, intending to retain all its existing customers with a special membership program. The annual enrollment cost is Rs 99 after which users need to opt for monthly plans for voice calling and data packs. This subscription fee is non-refundable and has the deadline as 31st March. Remember that the Jio Prime offer is valid to existing Jio users and those who get a new SIM before 31st March.

The annual membership fee is Rs 99. Here, users can enjoy more data for the same price. For example, users get 2.5GB data in the Jio plan for Rs 303, whereas in Jio Prime membership, users get the same plan but with 28GB of 4G data usage along with free voice calls, and unlimited data. The data speed will be 128kbps beyond usage limit.

Jio Prime offers 10 different data plans to pick from and this start from as low as Rs 19 and up to Rs 9999.

You can get your SIM card subscribed for Jio Prime by enrolling on MyJio app or Jio site or at any Jio store.
 
Is Jio Prime applicable for post-paid users?
Yes, of course, Jio Prime is available for both prepaid as well as post-paid users. The latter however has just three types of recharge plans which are Rs 303, Rs 499 and Rs 999.
 
What if I don’t subscribe to Jio Prime?
If you are not subscribing to Jio Prime, there are other offers for you. The recharge plans range between Rs 19 and 9999. When your entire data is used and burnt, you have different booster packs like Rs 11, Rs 51, Rs 91, Rs 201 and Rs 301 for uninterrupted internet.
