Students continue their protest against Jallikkattu ban

The students have continued to protest against the ban on Jallikkattu demanding its removal and also ban the organisation PETA from 7.00 AM yesterday (Tuesday, 17th January).It is significant to note that the students started this protest without any leaning or association with any political party. At the start, there were 300 students. Now, the number of swollen to thousands.

The students have informed that they will stop the protest only when the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam comes and offer a guarantee. The colleges reopened today (Wednesday, 18th January) after 4 successive holidays on Pongal festival and MGRs 100 the birth anniversary. However, a large number of students continued gathering at Marina in the protest. Students from Ambedkar Law College, Loyola College, Private Medical Colleges, etc. are participating in this strike.
