Chennai International Film Festival from today

The 14th International Film Festival is scheduled to start today (Thursday, 5th January) in Chennai. Over 150 world-acclaimed films in different languages are being screened in some of the major theatres in the city.

Many short films, and movies in languages like Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, and Kannada, and Tamil movies like Kabali, Uriyadi, Amma Kanakku, and Iraivi can be seen in this festival.

Today being the 1st day, splendid and acclaimed movies such as dancer, the plants, fado, and dearest can be seen.

In the memory of the recently dead Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, movies in which she acted with another late former Chief Minister, M G Ramachandran, such as Adimaippenn and Aayirathil Oruvan are also being screened during this International Film Festival.
