All the layout frameworks that are submitted as per the amnesty scheme shall be made available in public - thanks to the initiative by the Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP). With this, things are going to get far easier for those who seek for regularization of unapproved plots. The owners can subsequently verify whether their plot will come under these layout frameworks. This will eliminate the inordinate delay caused in regularization.
In another 2 weeks, the layout frameworks are set to get uploaded online, said officials. After this, the applicants will be able to check whether or not their unapproved plot has entered this list of layout frameworks. If their plot falls within this list, the applicant need not prepare a separate layout framework.
At the time of applying for regularization of unapproved plots, the applicant should mandatorily submit layout frameworks. Anyhow, as in case of unapproved plots, it would have changed among multiple hands, tracing the original layout has turned highly challenging for the owners. Hence they dont progress with the next step after submitting online application.
It was on 4th May 2016 that the scheme was launched. Until last week, a sum of 32,500 applications were received in the DTCP areas encompassing all parts of the state excluding Chennai city, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts, while there are bulk, fatty 14 lakh layouts on the whole in Tamil Nadu.
Amidst these, the government is figuring out ways for engaging different agencies and local bodies to work out on enumerating unapproved layouts in their concerned areas.
DTCP has come up with relaxing the procedure by making the layout frameworks open to the public. The beneficiaries shall find this move helpful, as they can gain access to the layout frameworks that are DTCP authorized.
