Prospects of rain with thunder in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of rain with thunder in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
An official from the centre explained that there was a depression zone stabilising over the Tamil Nadu and Andhra coastal area. This has now spread to Odisha. This has led to widespread rains in Tamil Nadu day-before-yesterday (27th June).
There are prospects of rain with thunder in the next 24 hours in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Chennai will remain cloudy. There may be light rain in a few places in the city.
