Meteorological Cente: Scorching summer at 107 Degrees Fahrenheit in 18 districts

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has warned that today (Thursday, 27th April) will be another typical scorching summer day with temperature touching 107 Degrees Fahrenheit in 18 districts in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Though summer has been quite severe all over the country, it has been especially hotter in the northern districts of Tamil Nadu.

As on yesterday (Wednesday, 26th April), a maximum temperature of 106.7 Degrees Fahrenheit has been recorded in Thiruthani. 12 cities have recorded temperature of over 100 Degrees Fahrenheit.

An official of the meteorological centres explained that today (27th April), temperature will touch 107 Degrees Fahrenheit in a few places in 18 districts Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Nagapattinam, Pudhukkottai, Vellore, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Tirupur, Erode, Karur, Trichy, Ariylaur, and Perambalur.

As a thermal convection has formed in the upper layer of the atmosphere, there might be rain with thunder in a few places in the interior districts of Tamil Nadu.
