Home cooked food and cutting phone while eating will reduce obesity

A new study has found that people who eat home cooked food and those who do not watch any TV or videos when they eat do not tend to get obese.
 
The study was conducted at Ohio State University, the USA. It included 12,482 participants all of whom said they had at least one family meal per week before the interview for the study took place.
 
What is obesity?
When the body mass index or the BMI is above 30, it is called as obesity. This is measured with the height and weight of an individual. In the research, it is found that those who never had the practice of watching TV or meal at the time of eating were significantly lower in being obese, as compared to peers who kept watching something while eating.

At the same time, those who had home cooked foods also had lesser risk of being obese as compared to others who ate outside food.
 
Rachel Tumin of Ohio State University said that the frequency of eating home cooked food might not be the major aspect here. What you get engaged in while eating is the most important factor here. This clearly indicates about the significance of our actions at the time of eating, Tumin added.
