R.K.Selvamani becomes the president of FEFSI

Film director R.K.Selvamani has been elected as the President of Film Employees Federation of South India. A total of 23 unions belonging to different trades in the film and television industry are affiliated to the FEFSI. Elections to this federation are conducted once in two years. Earlier Siva was the President of the federation. His tenure was over. In order to select the new office bearers, the election was held at the FEFSI office premises on Wednesday.
The presidents, secretaries and treasurers of the 23 unions were to vote and elect the new office bearers. 69 members cast their votes. The election was conducted in the presence of retired justice Balasubramanian. Counting of votes took place in the afternoon.
R K Selvamani was elected for the post of president while Shanmugam was elected for the post of secretary and Swaminathan was elected for the post of treasurer. Joint secretaries and committee members were also selected. Today evening the members will take charge of their respective posts.
