Prospects of rain in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that as a cyclonic format has developed in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the Bay of Bengal, there are prospects of mild rain in some southern districts of Tamil Nadu.

The peak of the summer, Agni Nakshatram, commenced day-before-yesterday (Friday, 4th May) in Tamil Nadu. However, it has been raining in several places in Tamil Nadu. It rained with thunder and lightning especially in the districts of Salem and Kovai.

In this situation, the cyclonic format developed in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the Bay of Bengal, the Chennai Meteorological Centre has announced that there are prospects of rain in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu.

The centre also informed that cyclonic winds will blow in several places in Tamil Nadu. A temperature of 38 to 40 Degrees Celsius will be recorded in the districts of Thiruvallur, Thiruvannamalai, Kanchipuram, Trichy, Perambalur, Karur, and Madurai,

The Chennai Metro City will record a maximum temperature of 36 Degrees Celsus and a minimum temperature of 28 Degrees Celsius.
