Government schools in Tamil Nadu would have LKG, UKG sections

On Monday, 12th March 2018 a training programme for Malaysian teachers was inaugurated by the education minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. Sengottaiyan. This education minister became cynosure of many eyes at this training programme when he spoke about how state government is thinking about starting LKG, UKG sections in government schools. He also said that at the cabinet meeting a decision about starting LKG and UKG sections in government schools would be taken.
It is important to mention that for teaching Tamil language to those kids of Tamil expatriates present all over the world, government of TN along with Singapore, Malaysia and Sri Lanka would constitute a committee to draft a detailed plan.
The education minister further spoke about how the committee would look into various ways to teach Tamil language. He also added that the state government would play its role in this and would give free books plus it would also send teachers to teach Tamil.
It must be noted that as many as 52 Tamil language teachers from Malaysia would be trained by SCERT or The State Educational Research and Training. From 12th March to 14th March 2018 Tamil scholars would impart training to the teachers.
The education minister Mr. Sengottaiyan highlighted that the state government is continuing its effort on getting exemption from NEET.
Recently Theni district grabbed many eyeballs because of forest fire accident and people lost their lives. So a two minute silence was observed in the beginning of the event yesterday in respect for those who lost their lives in the above mentioned forest fire accident.
