Water melons belongs to the family called ‘Cucurbitaceae’ is known to us. Found mostly in subtropical and tropical places these water melons have juicy flesh in reddish colour. It is worthy to mention that water melon is a fruit grown on a vine like flowering plant.  It is known that the consumption of this water melon has got great benefits for our health as they contain vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin B6 plus others like niacin, thiamine etc. Some of the major health benefits are

Useful for kidney related issues - For cleaning out the toxic depositions present in our kidneys these water melons are superb because they have rich potassium contents in them.  Regular consumption of water melon also prevents damage to the kidneys as these water melons have ability to reduce the concentration of uric acid in the blood.

Heat stroke prevention - It is confirmed that consumption of this water melon in tropical areas would prevent heat stroke in the individuals. It also reduces body pressure as well as body temperature.

Regulation of blood pressure - Blood pressure or BP regulation is an important benefit of consumption of the water melons.
