None of the Indian telecom operator is ready to lose their customer base in spite of the huge wave of offers brought by Reliance Jio. Vodafone is no exception. It cannot stay idle without efforts to survive in the business. Vodafone, the second largest telecom operator has now introduced new plans that offers unlimited voice calling.

For a recharge of Rs 148, Vodafone will offer 2GB of data and unlimited voice calling for 28 days. This new plan is added to the SuperPlans category of Vodafone. It has also affirmed the scheme info on MyVodafone app as well.

In this Rs 148 plan, outgoing calls to other networks shall be priced 1 paisa per second, states a company statement. For users who have a 4G handset without 4G SIM, 300 MB of data shall be given. Furthermore, for other handset users, 50MB data shall be added.

In the MyVodafone app, this Rs 148 plan is mentioned and it is categorized under SuperPlans. In this SuperPlans category, there are several unlimited calling plans apart from several other benefits.

Earlier, Vodafone approached TRAI regarding issue of interconnect usage charge or call termination charge. In the last week, TRAI had reduced IUC charges by half. While it was 14 paise earlier, it is now reduced to 5 paise.

Before reducing IUC rate, Vodafone claimed that 14 paise is not the price for receiving, connecting or ending voice calls from originating networks. Further, the actual cost was said to be 35 to 36 paise.
