There is nothing to be blamed about you when you are smitten by the pre-GST sales. You are perhaps getting to many messages from different brands informing you about their exclusive offers and sales until 30th June.

In general, the monsoon sale bonanza begins by end of June month. However, due to GST roll out on 1st July, there have been various offers announced by different brands well ahead of the usual sale time.

Both online and retail stores of electronics and apparels extend huge discounts. And the cosmetic industry doesnt seem to be lagging behind.

It is likely that the price of stocks may increase by 3 to 12 percent after implementing GST. Hence, brands are rushing to clear their stock ahead of GST. The products with good lifestyle brands are sold for Rs 1000 and above. As the price is above Rs 1000, there will be increase in tax liability as well and the same is applicable to purchasing raw materials as well. In order to save tax, top brands are practicing this method of effective marketing, says the director of Solzo group, a premium lifestyle brand.

Just two days are left for the consumers to avail these exciting offers. The schemes will soon get wrapped up after 1st July and they will begin with selling fresh stock and have revised price tags.

Brands like Shoppers Stop and Body Shop where there are products from multiple brands offer various discounts. With Shoppers Stop, there is a discount of 25 to 50 percent on select brands. The other discounts include buy 2 and get 2 free. On top clothing and footwear companies like Nike, Adidas, Levis, etc, there are offers up to 50 percent.

Offers on perfumes and cosmetics
On a range of products with the Body Shop, there are exclusive offers up to 50 percent. Starting from lip colors to wide range of makeup products, women can grab all of them for half the price. After GST implementation, these personal care products are to be sold for increased price, as these will fall under the 28 percent tax category.

Because of uncertainty about GST, now is the perfect time to buy these products when they are offered for slashed rates.
