YouTube streaming TV service to come soon

In an event that took place at Los Angeles yesterday, YouTube made a jaw-dropping announcement. The video streaming platform unveiled that its very own streaming TV service. This will be a blend of both live streams of broadcasts as well as cable television programming. There will also be online videos on YouTube. This is among the plenty of over-the-top services intending to entice customers who are thus far not even a traditional cable TV subscribers.
 
This will be a standalone app. The subscription rate will be 35 dollars per month and this will include 35 channels including the four main channels - ABC, FOX, NBC and CBS. One subscription to this TV service will encompass six accounts and hence, each of the members within a home can make use of the service according to their taste.
 
Similar to other streaming bundles, this also has gaps. Channels from Viacom including Comedy Central, MTV, etc will be missing on streaming. And there is no programing for Turner Broadcasting which means channels like CNN, TBS and TNT will be absent. With the launch announcement made, it is understood that Discovery Communications, AMC Networks, Time Warner and A+E Networks are also missing. And you know what?
