CCTVs should be installed in school buses - CBSE

The Central Board of Secondary Education has directed that school buses should be fitted with CCTVs, GPS and speed governors. These directions have been given in order to prevent the school buses accidents and also for the welfare of the students. Moreover this direction is also enforced by the Ministry of Human Resource Department.
CBSE in a notification has mentioned: The windows of the bus should be fitted with horizontal grills and with mesh wire. The buses should be fitted with speed governors with maximum speed limit of 40 kmph. GPS and CCTV arrangement should be made compulsorily in each school bus. School buses would need to have one well-trained lady attendant. The drivers of the school buses should be appointed only after checking his antecedents. The Management and the Head of the CBSE affiliated school will be held responsible for any lapse in this regard which would invite appropriate action including the disaffiliation of the school.
