7 persons given approval for constructing 1902 houses at a cost of Rs. 1.70 Lakhs each

Under the Prime Minister`s residence scheme, the district collector Sivagnanam gave the construction orders to 7 persons to build 1902 houses in an area of 269 sq ft at a cost of Rs. 1.70 lakhs each.

Under the Prime Ministers Residence Scheme, Virudhunagar District in the state of Tamil Nadu received the funds allotted for building 1902 houses covering an are of 269 sq ft at a cost of Rs. 1.70 Lakhs each.

Subsequently, the beneficiaries are being selected and given this house as per the list based on the census taken on socio-economic and caste basis in the year 2011.

Allotment orders are issued through an electronic system processing. In the previous years, the beneficiaries received orders from the respective Taluk Officers. But this consumed more time.

But, with the latest hi-tech electronic system, with the store data regarding the name, photograph, address, Adhaar Number, MGNERRG registration number, Priority number, the number from the list based on socio-economic status, place at which the beneficiary is going to build the house, payment and exchange details which include the date on which this data was created and the details are very transparent.

The allotment order is taken as a print from the computer and a After the approval sign from the respective Taluk Development Officer is sent immediately to the beneficiaries.

The beneficiaries are credited with an amount of Rs. 1.20 Lakhs from the central government and Rs. 50000/- from the state government.

As the orders are released through an electronic process, the public is made aware that they would not encounter all the difficulties faced earlier.

7 persons from Virudhunagar and Sathur Panchayat Unions received the house-building order released electronically in the office of the collector from the district collector Mr. Sivagnanam.
