Chennai Book Fair to kick off tomorrow

The hugely popular annual book fair in Chennai starts on 6th January. This is the 40th Book Fair. The members of the South Indian Book traders and Publisher Association had informed that the 40th Book Fair in Chennai is scheduled for 14 days from 6th January ending 19th January.
The Book Fair is conducted at St. George School on Poonamallee High Road. 700 books selling stalls are to be set up selling a wide range of books with 10 Lakh Titles. It is expected that over 10 Lakh people will be visiting the Book Fair.
Paying due attention to the present hard cash shortage, arrangements have been made for 2 ATM centres to be set up in the Book Fair. All shops will have swiping devices for cashless transaction.
7 Lakh free entrance tickets/passes will be distributed to the schools and colleges.
Another new facility introduced is that a family (4 members) book their season ticket through the App Bapasi and download the same, all the 4 members can visit the Book Fair any number fo times during the 14 days of the Book Fair.
