We monitor each and every Jio offer, TRAI

Reliance Jio Infocomm’s latest 4G services made available for free until 31st March 2017 will be monitored by TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India). We will eye on it. We examine each and every tariff submitted to us and we will respond at appropriate time, said Chairman of TRAI, R.S. Sharma to a question asked about the Jio offer validity.
Earlier, TRAI gave its nod for Reliance Jio’s free offers until end of the ongoing year, 2016 for all the customers who had subscribed for its services until 3rd December. Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries had announced that these free services by Reliance Jio will be extended further till 31st March.
While there are over 52 million customers for Jio as of now, starting from the launch date - 4th September, Reliance has recently announced its Jio Happy New Year Offer that allows free data, voice, video and applications extended till 31st March 2017 for all the users including those who join the Jio network after 4th December. This plan will however come with a fair usage policy which will limit data usage as 1 GB per day.
