People of all age groups enjoy having a go at varieties of biscuits. Some people even go to the extent of substituting their breakfast with a few biscuits before taking off for work. However, though it may not manifest during one`s younger years, this may lead to stomach ulcer and some digestion problems.

People eat biscuits when their sugar level goes down. However, this is not wise - better to take medical advice before doing so. Biscuits contain sugar, fat, and transfat acids.

While making the biscuits, oil and dalda are used at high temperatures, which lead to the formation of trans fats. However, it is not mentioned in the cover wrap of the biscuits as to how much trans fat is contained in the biscuit.

If trans fat acids get accumulated in the ody, excess fat will increase even further leading to heart-related problems. Also, salt is added while making the biscuits for longer shelf-life and also for the taste, Taking this will affect persons especially suffering from high blood pressure.

Again, certain chemicals are added during the manufacture for taste, colour, and conditioning. Some of these chemicals might belong to the banned list. These components are mentioned on the wrapper as E223 which is rather vague and not clear to most of us.

Some of the consumers will have a condition which will not accept gluten, the protein component contained in wheat. They might suffer from vomiting, diarrhea, chest-irritation, etc.

So, it is always better to be aware of the good and bad properties of the food items that we eat.
