Twice the number of women directors in Indian companies, study

As compared to the last six years, the total number of directors in Indian companies has raised by two times. The percentage of women directors was 5.5 percent in 2010, whereas the same is now 11.2 percent.
 
In the interim report, it is stated that a significant improvement is observed in terms of sexual equality in Asian Pacific countries. Coming on to India, the growth is close to 14.7 percent. Further, it is also stated that, the necessary situation for women to acquire higher positions in companies is high too.
 
The percentage of sexual equality in management level was 7.8 percent in 2014, and the same is now reduced to 7.2 percent. Around the end of 2013, the sexual equality in the board of directors was 12.7 percent, and in the year 2015, the same got increased to 14.7 percent.
 
Norway stands on top in having the maximum number of women working as the director of companies. The country also enjoys 46.7 percent sexual equality. This is followed by France with 34 percent and 3.6 percent in Switzerland, and 30.8 percent in Italy, and 30.8 percent in Finland. 12 countries belonging to the Asian Pacific regions have 20.1 percent women working in higher positions. This research involved studying 27,000 directors working in 3000 companies.
