Pay pending dues - pleas metro water board

The metro water department has insisted the consumers to pay out their pending dues so as to avoid last minute rush or disruption in water supply or sewage connections due to delay in payments. A month-on-month surcharge of 1.25 percent will be imposed on all late payments.
Collection centers are inaugurated in common to both collection of charges for water as well as sewage. These centers can also be used to pay property tax to the corporation of Chennai. All these services are carried out by Kotak Mahindra Bank. Payments can also be made at e-service centers that are functional by Tamil Nadu Arasu cable TV. Or making it easier, online payments using debit or credit card is possible at the site www.chennaimetrowater.tn.nic.in.
Assesses in the city corporation are also bound to pay water and sewage tax or charges.
