Safety-check for cars to be made compulsory from next year!

Safety-checks for cars will be made compulsory from next October. Safety-checks, especially crash-test is very essential for checking the safety of the cars.
In the crash-test, the front of the car is made to crash against a block at a speed of 56 kmph (kilometers per hour) in order to check the construction of the part. This is one of the most important safety tests. It is especially so for the low-budget cars.
As per the new regulations for the crash test, the speed is reduced from 56 kmph to 50 kmph.
It was reported that there are no centres which conduct crash-tests in India and also that the price of the cars will go up by 25%. However, the government is committed that all road safety standards must be followed.
So, the car manufacturers will have to improve the quality of the cars to pass the new rules, regulations and safety standards.
Deadline to meet these standards is set up to October 2016..
Further, arrangements are being made to organize all safety tests at one place in Pune under the control of ARAI (Automobile Regulatory Authority of Inida) as informed by the Secretary of the ministry of Heavy Industries Mr. Rajan Katoch
