Sree Ayyappan Guruvayurappan Temple Mahalingapuram- Navarathri festival from 13th

Navarathri festival will be celebrated from 13th to 23rd of this month at Sree Ayyappan Guruvayurappan Temple Mahalingapuram.
On occasion of this special poojais will be performed from 6.50 PM and later on their will be musical concerts and dance programmes till 8.15 PM. On 20th students should bring their books which will be placed in the poojai and worshiped. They should bring the books by 6 PM.
On 23rd Vijayadasami (Vidyarambham ceremony) will be celebrated. Ganapathy Homam will be performed in early hours of the day. After the poojai, Saraswathi poojai will be performed. In continuation with this at 11 AM in the Vidyarambham ceremony children are made to sit on the lap of an elderly priest who writes the invocation to Lord Ganapati on the child`s tongue with a golden ring and make him/her write the same with the right index finger on a bed of sand or rice.
