Thoongavanam was made in Tamil and Telugu in short span of time: Kamal Haasan

The audio CD of the film Thoongavanam which has Kamal Haasan and Trisha in the lead roles has been released today. Members of the film fraternity participated in this event. This audio release was very different from the usual ones.
The function which was held in Sathyam Cinemas was streamed live in YouTube enabling lakhs of people to view it throughout the world. Apart from this, the function was digitally streamed live in theatres throughout Tamil Nadu. Instead of calling the guests to the stage, the mike was given to them in their seats to voice their thoughts about the film.
Finally Kamal came on the stage and spoke. He said, Each one is telling a story that the film has been completed in 38 days and 40 days. To tell the truth, the film has been produced in Tamil and Telugu. If you have to shoot a car scene, you will have to have another shot changing the number plate. Similarly the police scenes, you will have to reshoot again because Tamil Nadu police uniform varies from Andhra. We decided to complete both the versions in 52 days. We finished it but at the last moment I had to include some scenes. So I took extra 8 days. On the whole the film was completed in 60 days. You can say that each version was shot for 30 days. Earlier I had complete my film Rajaparvai in 52 days but with the technical advancement these days it is not possible to complete a film in two languages in a short span of time. The reason for this is all the crew members worked in unison. Without their cooperation this would not have become possible.
