Traffic diversions for Independence Day celebration tomorrow

In view of Independence Day celebrations that are set to take place at Fort St. George, various traffic diversions are announced by the Chennai Traffic Police. These will be into effect from 5.30 am in the morning until all the celebrations get over.
All vehicular traffic excepts vehicles holding car passes will not be allowed through the stretch on Kamarajar Salai from Napier Bridge to RBI Subway North on Rajaji Salai, and Flag Staff Road.
Vehicles hailing from Kamarajar Salai heading towards Parry`s Corner through Rajaji Salai can pass through Swami Sivananda Salai, Anna Salai, Muthusamy Bridge, Muthusamy Road, R.A. Mandram, and North Fort Side (NFS) Road.
Those vehicles that head to Kamarajar Salai on Rajaji Salai passing through RBI Subway can now go through NFS Road , R.A. Mandram, Muthusamy Road, Muthusamy Bridge, Anna Salai, and Wallajah Road.
Vehices traveling through Parry`s Corner from Muthusamy Bridge or Anna Salai through Flag Staff Road may choose to go by Muthusamy Bridge, Muthusamy Road, R.A. Mandram, and NFS Road. And those vehicles that need to reach Kamarajar Salai through Flag Staff Road may take Anna Salai and Wallajah Road.
Vehicles with red or purple color passes that come before 8 a.m need to take Rajaji Salai route. Invitees need to alight outside the in-gate at the Secretariat. The allotted parking need to be used for parking the vehicles at the Secretariat premises. Vehicles that come after 8 a.m. carrying red pass need to take Flag Staff Road and take the Wallajah Gate to enter Fort St. George. Parking can be done at the designated parking slot.
The Secretariat can be entered through Flag Staff Road and Wallajah Point for all the vehicles carrying blue passes. They can enter through the George Gate and reach Out Gate towards Rajaji Salai. There are designated slots on PWD grounds where the vehicles can be parked. This is found opposite to the Secretariat.
Those vehicles that have pink pass need to take the route through Flag Staff Road / Anna Salai, Muthusamy Bridge, Muthusamy Road, Esplanade Road, NSC Bose Road, Parrys Corner, and RBI Subway. Invitees need to alight opposite to the out gate of Secretariat. Vehicles can be parked on PWD grounds opposite to Secretariat.
Those vehicles that come without passes need to entire through an entrance on Anan Salai and reach Island Grounds.
Metropolitan Transport Corporation Buses that carries RSP and NSS students need to take VIP Gate to reach Island Grounds. These buses need to be parked inside Island Grounds at respective spaces allotted.
