Facility for self-estimation of Property Tax online

Chennai Corporation is set to introduce the facility for self-estimation of Property Tax.
It is expected that the resolution for introduction of this facility will be passed in the next Corporation Council meeting.
Those who complete self-estimation of Property Tax online need to fill up the form provided. They have to furnish the details of the location of the property.
The calculation of the Tax based on these details will be immediately prepared online. With this, payment of Property Tax can be made either online or through other modes of payment.
A corporation official informed that there are about 100 Property Estimators in Chennai Corporation. They can take care of 200 wards. However, the entire data has to be done online. However, there is no arrangement to review, monitor, and correct the self-estimation until now.
