2 trains running on either side on a single track! Dreadful happening in Chennai!

There was great excitement in Chennai about today’s event when 2 trains approached each other on a single track!
Fortunately, with both the engine drivers stopping their trains, a ghastly accident was averted!
Trains are run from the Chennai Beach suburban station to Tambaram & Chengalpet.
Trains are at a frequency of every 5 minutes in this route.
Hence, the tracks & the area is always busy.
Today (Monday, 6th July), a train started from the Chennai Beach Station to Tambaram at 10.30 AM. It reached the Chennai Fort Station at 10.35 AM.
Meanwhile, a suburban train from Tambaram started from Chennai Park station to Chennai Fort.
Both these trains were moving on the same track at 10.45 AM and were at the mid-point between Chennai Park & Chennai Fort Stations.
Both the drivers noticed this and stopped their engines. When the passengers knew this, they were terribly shocked!
As the trains were stopped at the right time, a major & disastrous accident was averted.
Since both trains were moving on a single track, trains movement was affected severely. Passengers started getting out of the trains preferring to walk.
After getting this news, Railway officials rushed to the spot and have started an enquiry. Then the railway employees began the job shifting one train to another track.
This dreadful event has caused great excitement in Chennai Metro!!
