Skin Care Tips at the Beauty Parlour

Using disposable tools for beauty treatments prevents infection. Disposable facial tissues, head bands for facials, footwear at spas and even waxing strips are all now disposable.

At the beauty parlours and salons, it is your right to ask if all equipment has been properly sterilised. This goes for equipment used in manicures and pedicures as well. Ask if it has been sterilised and only then permit usage.

A comb or brush must not be used on someone else unless it has been properly cleaned since the last usage. Check to see if towels that are being used have been washed, ironed and folded properly and stored in a clean place. Infection causing germs thrive in wet cloth.

While cauterising warts in the skin, it is essential that a new, clean needle is used. It is dangerous to use an already used needle. The same goes with a razor.

After a facial, make sure to use sunscreen. State your needs clearly before getting a bleach done. Bleaches that just clean the skin without changing hair colour are now available. To prevent bleaching the hair, facial hair can be waxed as well. Make sure the area to be waxed is thoroughly cleaned before waxing. Also, use a post wax gel, cream or moisturiser afterwards.
