1.40 lakhs students have applied for engineering course. The merit list is being published on 19th June. There are about one lakhs eighty thousand seats in 538 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. The applications were sold from 6th May in 60 centers throughout Tamil Nadu.
Apart from Anna University, the sales of applications forms came to a close on 27th May. Day before yesterday 1 lakhs 88 thousand 785 applications were sold out. Yesterday, that is the last day 20 thousand applications were sold out. On the whole, this year one lakh 40 thousand students have applied for BE. Random number will be allotted on 15th June.
