Generally, either the residue or the impact of the food taken in the previous night tends to remain in our stomachs till the next morning.

The generation of hydrochloric acid from the digestion system is higher during the mornings. When this gets mixed with the residue of previous night’s food, problem of acidity arises.

We can prevent this with some healthy habits.

The proper functioning of our body during the entire day period is based on the first food we take on our empty stomachs in the morning!

This morning food need not be as per a chart assiduously prepared. It is based entirely on our health condition during that period and the environmental conditions.

It is best recommended to take a quarter of the entire day’s water requirement in the morning on an empty stomach within half-an-hour after getting up.

Some people take warm or hot water. However, cold or normal water is better as it reduces the acidity. Water neutralises the excess acid and helps the proper functioning of the stomach & digestion system.

Taking water frequently helps considerably reduce the intensity of high blood pressure, diabetes, heart-attack, obesity and kidney-related problems. Taking water frequently also helps in the improvement of metabolism by 24%.

Those who cannot drink the whole of three-fourth litre of water in a single stretch can take in 4 portions at the interval of every 5 minutes.

Fenugreek is an ideal cure for patients suffering from diabetes or high blood pressure. This also reduces the body heat. Soak a few seeds of fenugreek in water the previous night. Take this water early in the next day morning on an empty stomach. However, avoid taking fenugreek directly in the mouth & then drinking water along with it or avoid taking fenugreek seed mixed in buttermilk.

Taking fenugreek seeds without soaking is harmful as its outer skin will delay digestion and may create constipation. Both fenugreek & buttermilk offer coolness to the body. Mixing both & taking may increase the chances of catching a cold! Sometimes, this may even cause loose motion.
