It ain’t a wonder if you can’t think of a lip-smacking dish with craving when you have digestive problems. Neither a spicy snack nor a delicacy will you be able to enjoy when the digestion is improper. There is nothing with it to make fun. Two of the common issues with digestion are heartburn and irritable bowel syndrome. By practicing few simple exercises and dietary changes, you can very well stay away from these issues.

What is heartburn?

This is felt between chest and throat. This is due to acid reflux which is caused by stomach acids that leaves the oesophagus irritated. How can you prevent this? Consume food in small quantities multiple times a day. No matter what food you take, but overeating will lead to heartburn. Make sure to chew your food well. It is also important to adopt healthy cooking practices such as baking, grilling and stir frying. You may be in discomfort out of items deeply fried or shallow fried.

For those who are suffering out of heartburn, it is recommended to avoid spicy, citrusy or vinegary foods. If you are particular about having those, consume them with good volume of meat and vegetables.

What is irritable bowel syndrome?

In this case, one is left with unbearable abdominal pain and cramps. In case of severity, the patient may even be left with constipation or diarrhea. How can you prevent irritable bowel syndrome? Do not overeat. This will aggravate irritable bowel syndrome very much. Alcohol, cabbage, wheat, barley, caffeinated beverages, bean, etc are some of the items that induces the condition. It is recommended to take fiber rich food as it helps fight against diarrhea and constipation troubles. However, do not choose fiber supplements, rather take real fibrous food items. When you suffer from irritable bowel syndrome, you are prone to lack of sleep and get distressed. Exercising often can help you stay away from stress. And it in turn helps you stay fit. This can also hugely reduce your digestive problems compared to those who don’t.

Furthermore, those who are allergic to milk are prone to the syndrome. In that case, approaching a doctor would be a wiser choice as he may suggest necessary calcium supplements.
