Heavy Rains: schools closed and trains stopped!

Schools have declared holiday due to the incessant heavy rainfall throughout Tamil Nadu. Trains are not allowed to operate on the Pamban Bridge.
It has been raining heavily in Nagai, Karaikkal, Thiruvarur, Madurai, Tuticorin, Sivagangai, Ramnadapuram, Pudukkottai, and Tanjore districts.
District collector of Nagai, Mr. Munusamy announced holiday for the schools due to the heavy rains. Schools at Karaikkal, Tanjore, Pudukkottai, and Thiruvarur Districts also remain closed.
In coastal areas such as Pamban, Rameshwaram, and Mandapam, there have heavy rains with stormy sea. Trains are not allowed through Pamban Bridge.
Power has been cut in Rameshwaram since yesterday night. Schools & colleges have declared holidays. Lot of boats were damaged due to violent sea.
