Dragging travel hours owing to Kodambakkam bridge work

Owing to strengthening of Kodambakkam Bridge, there has been an increase in traffic at T.Nagar, leaving commuters irksome. Complaints are more in numbers form T.Nagar stating there has been increase in traffic in the area. This traffic has not just left the motorists, but also the traffic policemen are left annoyed by the heavy traffic jam.
This traffic dimension was commenced on November 17 so as to help out the Chennai Corporation to carry out works on the bridge. According to one of the motorists, last week, he had to wait for about an hour on Bazullah Road on his way to Rangarajapuram flyover. He reached Vadapalani around 8pm, he adds.
