Train ticket booking for Pongal – sold in just 7 minutes

Advance booking of train tickets for the eve of Pongal got opened at 8am yesterday and got over in just 7 minutes. All those who waited in long queues at the ticket counter were left disappointed.
People in lakhs visit their hometown and return to Chennai during festival time. Most of these travelers prefer traveling in train and the ticket booking for this will commence before 60 days. Pongal festival that falls between January 14 and January 17, and hence travelers eye on travelling to their hometown on January 13. Most tickets are already booked for these days.
