Cyclone in Bay of Bengal

Previous Arabian Sea cyclone Nilofar may have died out, but it is now the turn of the Bay of Bengal to come up with its own, the second during this North-East monsoon, by next week.
India Met Department has signaled the formation of a fresh low-pressure area in the southwest Bay of Bengal off the Sri Lanka and adjoining Tamil Nadu coasts by Saturday. Wind field projections suggest that a tropical cyclone could be building up here next week. It is suggested that Nagapattinam-Cuddalore-Puducherry belt along Tamil Nadu as a probable landfall area. Heavy rains are expected in Tamil Nadu.
