Four police officials have been chosen for this year’s Gandhi Adigal police medal for their work in curbing illicit liquor. They are K. Balakrishnan, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Prohibition Enforcement Wing, Tiruchi City; K. Shanmugam, Additional Superintendent of Police, Prohibition Enforcement Wing, Kancheepuram District; P. Padmavathi, Inspector of Police, Central Investigation Unit, Tiruchi Zone, and M. Babu, Sub-Inspector of Police, Prohibition Enforcement Wing, Villupuram District.
