100 more mini-buses to operate in Chennai!

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa announced in the Legislative Assembly that 100 new mini-buses have been purchased at a cost of Rs. 16.75 Crores and they will be run in new different routes within Chennai city.

100 mini-buses are already running for the benefit of people in suburban places where there is not link to the nearest railway station or Bus stations and also the airport.

.The services were greatly welcomed by the public and they are hugely popular.

Considering this and the growing urban population, 100 more buses have been purchased at the cost Rs. 16.75 Crores. They will start functioning soon in new different routes.

RTO (Road Transport Organisation) offices at 4 centres including Thiruthani!

There has been a remarkable increase in the population, number of vehicles and industrial growth in some cities other than district headquarters.

In order to facilitate the services of drivers licences, conductors licences, new vehicle registration, etc, (which are now demanding a lot of travel and other expenses), 4 RTO offices are planned at Manmangalam, Usilampatti, Thiruthani, and Cheyyar at a cost of Rs. 2.79 Crores.
