Unclaimed Provident Funds – Warning from Employee Provident Fund Office!

Employee Provident Fund Organisation has insisted that the right claimant should be identified for all unclaimed provident funds.
The Provident Fund accounts where subscription has not been paid for more than 36 months are considered to be non-operative accounts.
When the concerned individual appears for claiming this provident fund, EPFO has warned to ensure that the payment is not disbursed to ‘fake’ individuals.
EPFO has instructed that all current rules must be followed strictly while dealing with this issue.
