Kumbakonam School Fire case: Life Sentence for School Founder!

10 persons were listed as offenders in the judgement given on Kumbakonam School Fire incident case.
- The school founder, Mr. Palaniswamy was given a life sentence. In addition to the life sentence, he would also serve 10 years in jail.
- The founder has also been fined to pay Rs. 51 Lakhs.
- Ms. Sarawathy. Wife of the school founder Palaniswamy, and Treasurer of the school, was given 5 years of imprisonment.
- Headmistress, Ms. Santhanalakshmi, was was given 3 years imprisonment.
- The Tanjore court also gave Mr. Jayachandran, the school architect, 2 years imprisonment.
- The district Primary Education official, Mr. Balaji, was given 5 years imprisonment.
