Apple strives to be eco-friendly with recycling procedures

It is when the resources are conserved, our future generations can at least have something to live on earth. Apple seems to have a clear understanding of this and has been making eco-friendly strides in the recent past. Products from this multinational corporation are made eco-friendly and uses minimal non-biodegradable stuff in them.

For example: it makes use of mercury free displays for its monitors, PVC free power cords, glasses are arsenic free, lead free solders, BRF free plastics, phthalate free cables, and many more. Such an initiative was ignited by Steve Jobs and the company has now elevated it to the next level of recycling Apple products free of cost.

Excerpts from ‘Apple’ website:
Below is an excerpt from Apple’s website about their new recycling idea:
“We have just one planet to live in and it has finite resources for us to use. It is certainly our responsibility to protect and conserve them for our future generations to use. And here is the beginning for such conservation measures. Our products are aimed to be material efficient and last for longer days. We want our products to get reused and not thrown away as wastes.

So, those having any old Mac or Apple product that is not in working condition may pass it on to nearest Apple outlet and get it recycled entirely free of cost. On the other hand, if it is still in a good working condition, you may get store credits that can fetch you store credits on the new products you buy with us.”

This appreciative measure by Apple is expected to receive good response from its users.
