Lack of MTC Bus Services in Madipakkam – Invasion of Private Parking’s
Residents of Madipakkam and Kovilambakkam have been weeping for a long time, because of the meager occurrence of the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) services to this area.
Hence people are in anxiety that the allotted bus terminus in the Eswaran Koil Street might have been employed by the parking lots for private vans and buses.
Currently, public can only spotlight the rust of rain water along with the sewage around the bus terminus and many civic groups supporting the residents of Madipakkam requested for the enhancement of the bus terminus.
Various amenities including lighting, bus shelter and toilet services are also howled by the MTC team members.
Residents claimed for the less bus services in these area and they pointed that only two frequent bus services namely T. Nagar (51M) and V. House (M45A) are allotted for the Madipakkam route.
If we get more bus services, it will help to avoid seizing of bus terminus by the private parking lots, says S. Chidambaram, resident of Sadasivan Nagar, Madipakkam.
MTC sources say that they are ardent on enhancing the bus services to every arc of the widened areas. Actions will be imparted soon, to shun to parking of private vehicles with the assistance of the police, MTC sources said.
