Maruti’s six-year rural roadshow brings in more business.  Comparing to all its automobile rivals, Maruti car market rural sale has crossed 338,000 units for the just completed fiscal year.

Excluding the top three, Maruti’s sale is higher than the total sum of the sales serrated by 15 car companies in India.

Good sign for our growth market; rural sale shows 16% rise during the financial year of 2013-2014, said Mayank Pareek, COO of Maruti Suzuki. Maruti commenced its rural thrust in the last fiscal hold back of 2008-09, he added.

Till 2007-2008, Maruti shows only 4% sale from the rural regions, suddenly out of blue the sale percentage has elevated to 32% in the year 2013-2014, said Pareek. This reveals that the Maruti is pursuing an expansive trail and access in markets.

About 44,374 Maruti cars have been sold during 2012-2013 and in the year 2013-2014, the count mounts to 93,700 cars. As India hold 6, 50,000 villages, we are surrounded by greater opportunities, said Pareek.

Auto forecaster says a duo of factors have aided in rural markets jump the dip. The cost of living in rural areas is sinking than in a large city. Also, government schemes like rural job guarantee scheme, or MGNREGS beneficiary, in rural areas has promoted vehicle companies like Maruti.
