Book fair in Chennai from April 18

A 10-day book fair, Chennai Puthaga Sangamam, will be held on YMCA grounds in Chennai from April 18.
The fest, coinciding with the World Book Day on April 23, will be organized by the Periyar Self-Respect Propaganda Institution in association with the National Book Trust.
The book fair will be open to all age groups and it will be held from 11am to 8.30pm everyday. There will be separate sections for English, children`s books and regional language publishers.
The fair received a huge response in 2013 when it was conducted for the first time. More than 100 publishers took part in the festival.
Publishers, booksellers, and dealers in educational learning materials should send the filled in applications before March 25, according to the organizers.
