3 National Awards for the Tamil film, ‘Thanga Meengal’!

The Tamil film, ‘Thanga Meengal’, has won 3 National Awards. The late film Director Mr. Balu Mahendra’s film, ‘Thalaimuraigal’ won the award for the National Integration theme.
The central government announced the 61st national wards for the film industry today (16th April).
Under the language category, the film, Thanga Meengal’, directed by Mr. Ram, won the best Tamil film award. The child actor in the movie, Ms. Sadhana, won the best child actor award.
Lyricist Naa. Muthkumar won the best lyricist award for his song, ‘aananda yazhai’.
On the theme of focus in national integration, late Director Balu Mahendra’s ‘Thalaimuraigal’ was selected as the best.
Another Tamil movie, ‘Vallinam’, won the best editing award.
