Kongunadu Food Festival

(From JUNE, 25th to JULY, 11th 2010)

DECCAN PLAZA situated at 36, Royapettah High Road, Royapettah, Chennai - 14, has been conducting imaginative and innovative food promotions/events for gourmet delight and enjoyment of the cross-section society of Chennai.

In keeping with the TAMILNADU traditions, Deccan Plaza shall be celebrating and offering to Chennaities – KONGUNADU FOOD FESTIVAL from JUNE, 25th to JULY, 11th, 2010 at OLIVES -Multi Cuisine Restaurant as an elaborate buffet spread.

KONGUNADU is one of the beautiful and attractive tourists spot in TAMILNADU and also known for traditional and authentic array of tasty food items. History is witness to us the myriad ways in which TAMILNADU from the days gone by protected and preserved their treasures. Elucidating further, these coveted treasures included classic recipes of some truly outstanding fare from the royal kitchens of TAMILNADU kingdom.

We are waiting patiently to serve you some of the traditional 'KONGUNADU DISHES’ from a clan that celebrates life with pomp and splendor Indulge in the culinary opulence of a rich TAMILNADU Heritage.

VER KADALAI DOSAI, MELAGU ADAI CURRY, KODUNGAI POO THOKKU, PACHA PAYARU PUTTU, PARUTHI PAL PULAVU CHORU, PAYARU URUNDAI, KAMBU KALI (sweets), etc...etc...and so on with a variety of 101%Vegetarian delicacies. To mention few of the combos on the buffet, piping combination of tasty side dishes are the speciality of the KONGUNADU region

All this for just Rs.375/- Nett. What a treat for the taste buds!

The Delicacies have been prepared following ancient authentic recipes and Ethnic time honoured cooking methods of KONGUNADU style, with a cycling menu everyday. The festival kicks of from from JUNE, 25th to JULY, 11th, 2010 at our OLIVES multicuisine restaurant open for dinner during week days and for LUNCH and DINNER during week ends. (FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY 12.00 noon to 3.00 p.m and 7.00 to 11.00p.m and other days 7.00 to 11.00 p.m.)
